Terms of Service
Last updated · CoreCited
These are the terms between you and CoreCited, which operates CoreCited. Plain language on purpose — a contract you cannot read is not one you agreed to.
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, buying a subscription, or using CoreCited in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using CoreCited for a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
In these terms, “CoreCited”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean CoreCited. “You” means the person or organisation using the service.
2. What the service does
CoreCited asks AI assistants the questions you configure, records their answers, and reports whether your brand is named in them. It also audits your website against a fixed list of technical checks, produces content briefs from what it finds, and — if you choose to connect one — creates drafts in your content management system.
The service is delivered entirely online as software, with no physical goods and nothing to ship. Access begins immediately once payment is confirmed.
3. What we do not promise
- We do not promise that any AI will mention you. We measure and we advise. We do not control ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini or Google, and neither does anyone else selling you this category of tool.
- Our scores are ours. A score going up means our checks pass more often. It is not a statement about your search rankings or your revenue.
- AI answers change constantly. A reading is a reading on a day. That is exactly why we report trends over time and tell you when a change falls within normal drift rather than alerting you to it.
- Some things cannot be measured by anyone. Prompt volume, AI Overview click traffic and Copilot citations have no public data source. We say so on the pricing page rather than implying otherwise.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under it.
- One account per person. Team members get their own seats — your plan states how many.
- You must be at least 16 years old and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
- The information you give us when registering must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date.
5. Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment processing, billing, invoicing, customer service enquiries relating to billing, and the collection and remittance of any applicable taxes.
This means your contract for the purchase itself is with Paddle, and Paddle's Buyer Terms apply alongside these terms. Where Paddle's terms give you a right we would not have given you, Paddle's terms win.
6. Payments, subscriptions and cancellation
- Prices are shown in US dollars on our pricing page and are exclusive of any tax Paddle is required to add at checkout, which you will see before you confirm.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually, whichever you chose — until you cancel them.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until that period ends.
- If a payment fails, Paddle will retry it and notify you. If it keeps failing we downgrade the account rather than deleting anything, and your data stays where it is.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which gives you 14 days.
There is a free plan that needs no card. It is not a trial that converts — it never starts charging you, and nothing happens automatically when its included checks run out.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use CoreCited to:
- Crawl or audit a website you have no right to, in a way that burdens its owner.
- Resell the raw output as your own product without adding anything. Agency reporting on behalf of your own clients is expressly fine and is exactly what the Agency plan is for.
- Exceed your plan's limits by technical means, script the service outside the documented API, or attempt to access another customer's data.
- Publish content the service generates as fact without checking it. We instruct the models not to invent things; models still do.
- Upload unlawful content, or use the service to break any law that applies to you.
8. If you connect your CMS
When you connect WordPress, we create and update drafts. We never publish on your behalf, and there is no setting that makes us. You review and publish yourself. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the stored credential immediately.
9. Intellectual property
- Ours stays ours. The CoreCited software, its scoring methodology, its interface, its name and its logo belong to CoreCited. Your subscription is a licence to use the service, not a transfer of any of that.
- Yours stays yours. What you put in — prompts, brands, drafts, uploaded material — remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use it to train any model. We store it so the product can show it back to you.
- What the service produces for you is yours to use. Briefs, drafts, reports and exports generated for your account can be used commercially without further permission from us.
10. Third-party services
The service depends on third parties — AI providers, search data providers, and any Google or CMS account you connect. Those services have their own terms, they change their products without consulting us, and they can go down. We are not responsible for their availability or for changes they make. Where one becomes unavailable, we say so in the product rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
11. Termination
You can close your account whenever you like, from your settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable-use rules above, or that has not paid. Where we do, we will tell you why first, unless doing so would put other customers or the service at risk. On closure you can ask us for an export of your data.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the measurements it produces will lead to any particular commercial outcome. Nothing in this section removes a warranty that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost business opportunity.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.
14. Privacy
How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of United States, and any dispute arising out of them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of any mandatory consumer law in the country where you live, and it does not prevent you from raising a billing dispute with Paddle directly. Before going to court, please email us — almost everything is quicker to fix that way.
16. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before the change takes effect rather than quietly updating the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
